Probably Stolen events

Probably Stolen events arrive two ways: the newspaper lists most of them with their price shifts, and the night log reports what happened while the shutters were down.

How to use this section

Site narration

Each event page collects the game's own lines about it, then points at the system that governs it.

Most events cost money rather than end a run: a market shift changes what a shelf is worth, a blackout kills the grid devices, and a break-in takes what was left outside.

Security events are the ones to watch: an inspection hunts contraband, and an investigation follows once enough crimes are suspected.

The events

  • Market-price eventsWorld events move the price of goods, up or down, for as long as they last.
  • BlackoutA blackout kills the grid devices in the store.
  • Break-inStock left on the outside counter overnight can be taken.
  • Inspection and investigationSecurity inspects for contraband, and investigates once it suspects enough crimes.
  • VandalismAngry customers, Security sympathisers, Upper Level thugs or the Revolution can wreck the storefront overnight.
  • An Aug in the shopSecurity passes word the day an Aug is likely to visit.
