Guides
Probably Stolen guides
The Probably Stolen guides here are written in the order the job happens in play: opening a hard-mode run, appraisal and counterfeits, winemaking, rat husbandry, and the aug tells.
The guides
- Appraisal & counterfeitsThe printed procedure every sale runs on: four steps, the guidebooks and the magnifying glass, the estimate panel, and six printed value sheets — with the condition deltas the game prints (−15 for Light Wear, −30 for Heavy Wear).
- WinemakingFrom the retired winemaker's unlock to a finished bottle: grade the BloomBerries, fill the bottle with water, berries and yeast, ferment, read the tier, then age it. Pure water and synthetic yeast are the two inputs the guide warns about. What it needs: BloomBerry Wine Fermenting Guide, Wine Bottle, BloomBerry, BloomBerry Wine, GloomBerry Wine, Yeast.
- Rat husbandryRats are the station's cheap protein: unlock ranching, catch or buy stock, feed them calories, breed them, scan the genes, then harvest the meat and clean up after them. What it needs: Gene Scanner, Raw Meat (Standard), Raw Meat (Small), Offal, Animal Fat, Meat Cleaver.
- Augs: tells and when to shootThe one guide where a wrong call can end a run or cost reputation: read the identification guide, confirm with the scanner or several tells, trade first if you want to, and shoot only when certain. What it needs: Aug Scanner.
- Hard mode & Rock BottomHard Mode and the Rock Bottom start, in the order they happen: read what the difficulty changes, spend the perk points where they cost least, take the first day with nothing, survive the rent that falls due every seven days, then turn the start kit into income. Four videos are embedded on the page, with the cited moments listed as timestamps under each one. What it needs: Fridge, Bottle Printer, HydraTech Micro Water Purifier, Water Pitcher, Immunivax Injector, Topical Medication Bandage.
How to use this section
Site narration
Each guide follows the job in the order it happens in play, and marks the points that are still not settled.
Each guide carries the steps in order, the items the job needs, the pitfalls that cost money, and — where the sources have not settled something — an open list instead of a guess.
A guide that rests on video carries the videos on the page itself: each one plays here, and the moments the guide cites are listed under it as timestamp links to the second.
Numbers appear only where the game prints them or a timestamped frame shows them. The condition deltas (−15 for Light Wear, −30 for Heavy Wear) and the water tooltip values (estimated 45, base 35) are frame-verified; everything else is left out.
Read appraisal first: it is the procedure every sale runs on. The other guides each cover one job from unlock to finished goods.
Common questions
Which Probably Stolen guide should I read first?
Appraisal and counterfeits — it is the printed procedure every counter sale runs on.
Do these Probably Stolen guides cover the full game or the demo?
They are written against Update 049 (Demo), and they mark what the sources still do not settle.
Where do the numbers in a guide come from?
From the game itself or from a frame with a timestamp; a value that only exists at run time is left out or described broadly.
What does “Still open” mean on a guide?
A point only one speaker made, or one the sources disagree on, is recorded there instead of being stated as fact.
How many guides are there?
Four job guides plus the printed appraisal procedure.
