Augs & the rogue AI
A rogue AI rides inside brain implants and its hosts mimic ordinary customers. This system covers the tells, the scanner that confirms them, the gun under the counter, and the endings that follow a missed one.
The tools the system runs on
Site narration
Confirming one takes a single purchase: the
Aug Scanner, which the game says confirms a suspected Aug with total accuracy. Until you own one, the guide's tells are all you have to go on.

The guide's tells, and what to check
| Tell | What to check at the counter |
|---|---|
| Unnatural Stillness | Watch the body rather than the goods: a customer who never shifts through the whole deal. |
| Twitching | Watch for small, jerky movements; a still frame cannot show them. |
| Outfit Not Matching Their Faction | Read what they are wearing against the faction their own lines point to. |
| Robotic vocabulary | Listen for wording that speaks of people as units or tasks rather than as customers. |
| Overly Formal Phrasing | Listen for requests that are too stiff to be an ordinary customer. |
The left column is the guide's own wording; the checks beside it are written by this site.

The game hands these bodies to customers it leaves unnamed. Nothing here is a named character's portrait: each row is one faction's artwork, not a person. A person the game drew no portrait for keeps an empty slot on this site rather than borrowing one of these.
